Gang in 'Scream' Masks Kidnap Restaurateur

AN ARMED gang wearing horror-movie masks kidnapped a north London restaurant manager and robbed him of [pound]20,000.

The four-strong gang, disguised wearing masks from the film Scream, burst into the man's South Tottenham home as he returned from work in the early hours of Monday.

The man - in his 20s and understood to live alone - was threatened with a gun and a knife. The gang "roughed him up" as they bound and gagged him. They then forced him back outside and bundled him into a red car which witness reports suggest was a Vauxhall Astra.

The robbers drove him - with a pillowcase over his head - to his restaurant in Stroud Green Road, Finsbury Park, where he was forced to open the safe and hand over the [pound]20,000 in cash shortly after 3am.

They left the man tied up and he only managed to free himself and raise the alarm several hours later at about 7.30am. Although he only suffered a small cut to the head, he was said to be "very shaken". …
