ENIC Tell Graham: Money Will Be Tight

TOTTENHAM manager George Graham today warned fans there will be no big-money buys next season.

He met the club's new owners, sports and leisure group ENIC, this week and was told he would only have a limited budget to spend on new players.

Graham had a long discussion with vice-chairman David Buchler and said ENIC should make every attempt to keep England stars Sol Campbell and Darren Anderton along with striker Les Ferdinand.

All three players will be eligible to leave under the Bosman ruling at the end of the season.

Campbell has already been linked with possible moves abroad and to Arsenal when his contract expires in June.

But Graham revealed talks between ENIC and all three players' advisers were taking place inside the next 24 hours.

Graham said: "I had a meeting with ENIC and they expect success from me.

"There is a limited budget and I don't think there will be any big outlays in the summer or next season. …
