Deranged Fan Storms Stage and Hurls Robbie into Crowd

A DERANGED fan attacked Robbie Williams in the middle of a concert in Germany and hurled him from the stage.

The 20-year-old man, described by police as "severely disturbed", clambered on to the stage yesterday. He evaded security personnel before pulling Williams's hair, landing a punch and throwing him into a small pit between the stage and the fans at the Schleyerhalle stadium in Stuttgart.

Witnesses said Williams, 27, grimaced in pain and clutched his left arm.

However, after being examined by a doctor at the concert hall he returned to finish his set. After joking with the audience that the attacker "wasn't my type", Williams started singing again. Fan Ulrika Sanger told German radio: "I thought it was part of the act but then I saw them both struggling and the music stopped."

Another fan, 17-year-old Ute Hoffmann, said: "We couldn't believe it when it happened. It was about half an hour into his performance. There suddenly seemed to be an extra person on the stage - it looked like he came from backstage. …
