St. Johns Industrial Park Sold

The St. Augustine Industrial Park in St. Johns County was sold yesterday for $3 million to St. Augustine Industrial Development Corp. and Deer Park Investment Corp. of Jacksonville, according to Hobart Joost, a commercial real estate broker at Colliers Dickinson in Jacksonville who co-brokered the deal.

The 140-acre park, which is 10 miles south of the World Golf Village at Interstate 95 and Florida 207, was sold by Fred Ahern Sr., Bart Wachle and Dave Wachle, owners of St. Augustine Industrial Park Inc.

David Gonzalez, owner of St. Augustine Industrial Development Corp. and Deer Park Investment Corp., said a favorable asking price for the property was a reason why he bought the park.

"Also, I see growth moving into that area," Gonzalez said.

The location of the facility near the World Golf Village has the potential to draw companies with distribution and warehouse needs, officials said.
