CRYSTAL RIVER 35, SUWANNEE 23 -- o Clayton Trenary threw for two touchdowns and ran for another and the Crystal River High School defense forced five turnovers, including four in the first half, as the Pirates dispatched Live Oak Suwannee, 35-23, last night in Class 3A regional football action. Trenary connected with Scott Miller on his touchdown passes, which covered 31 and 73 yards, respectively. His 73-yarder gave the Pirates an 11-point advantage, 28-17, with 5:30 remaining in the third quarter. Trenary finished the game with 127 passing yards on four completions. He rushed for 69 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes remaining in the game. The Bulldogs trailed 21-3 with 11:05 remaining in the third quarter before quickly cutting their deficit to 21-17 with less than eight minutes remaining in the period.
