Wasps and Wycombe Ready to Talk Business Rugby

LONDON WASPS are expected to meet Wycombe Wanderers representatives today to discuss a possible ground-share next season amid increasing anger from both sets of fans.

Wasps supporters have been airing their feelings about a possible move on the club's website and they have been joined by Wycombe fans worried about possible damage to the football pitch.

Fans at Wasps have suggested moving to Harlequins because it is a "real" rugby ground.

The discussions have been prompted by Standard Sport's revelations of a planned ground-share between Queens Park Rangers and Fulham at Loftus Road, where Wasps have been based since September 1996.

Wycombe chairman Ivor Beeks said: "The board agreed to listen to Wasps' proposals and arranged to discuss the matter fully at a future board meeting.

"Discussions are at an early stage and we can assure our supporters that no decision will be taken until we are satisfied that the arrangement would be beneficial to the club in every respect. …
