Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by area police departments.

ATLANTIC BEACH

An employee at Bob's Palm Trees and Fences, 750 Mayport Road, reported Thursday that someone broke a window and entered the office. The burglar rummaged through a checkbook and drawer but didn't take anything from the business.

Police arrested a man Friday and charged him with resisting arrest without violence and driving with a suspended driver's license and expired tag after the man fled police during a traffic stop Dec. 5 in the 2100 block of Mayport Road.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH

Officers arrested a Mayport man Thursday and charged him with robbing two convenience stores at gunpoint in the last week.

Timothy Leon Jackson, 18, is accused of robbing the Sprint convenience store at 1031 Beach Blvd. Thursday and a Lil' Champ convenience store at 1310 Third St. S. on Dec. 11.

Police arrested Jackson in a store at Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Road after a witness saw Jackson run from the Sprint store and jump into a nearby Mercedes. The witness got in his car and followed Jackson as he drove around the city and headed west toward the shopping center on Beach Boulevard. The witness wrote down the tag number on Jackson's car, then drove back to the Sprint store and gave police the information.

Police found $92, a ski mask and a weapon in Jackson's Mercedes.

A man reported Sunday that someone stole an $800 mountain bike from his garage in the 200 block of 33rd Avenue South. The thief left his bike behind at the scene, apparently trading it in for the more costly model.

Vandals destroyed a reindeer ornament Friday at the Christmas display at Latham Plaza, just east of City Hall on Second Avenue North.

A man reported Thursday that his 2000 Chevrolet was burglarized in the 100 block of Eighth Avenue North and that a Rolex watch and a bicycle were stolen.

A woman reported Saturday that someone broke into her second-floor apartment in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue North and stole $200, a cell phone, costume jewelry, a wedding ring and other belongings.

A man told police Sunday that his 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen from his driveway in the 1700 block of Azalea Drive. …
