Authorities have made arrests in two of 2001's five unsolved homicides in Southeast Georgia.

Two men have been charged with murder in the Dec. 17 shooting of a Charlton County man.

Sheriff's officials from Charlton County, Nassau County and Jacksonville were involved in the investigation, along with the GBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Ruis also has been charged in the Sept. 17 shooting of 18-year-old Benjamin Ayers during a drug buy on Cassat Avenue, police said. Ayers died five days later.
