RIBAULT NO. 2 IN NATIONAL POLL

Ribault moved from No. 3 to No. 2 in the USA Today national poll released yesterday, thanks to a 56-27 loss suffered by last week's No. 1 team, Chaminade-Julienne of Dayton, Ohio.

Lynwood, Calif. (20-0), moved from No. 2 to No. 3 after 101-13 and 95-13 victories last week.

The Lady Trojans (29-0), who had been at No. 3 for three weeks, have wins by scores of 89-30, 103-30, 102-25 and 94-29 since the previous week's poll. They remain the only Top 25 team from Florida.

Chaminade-Julienne dropped to No. 6 after losing to unranked Beavercreek (Ohio) 56-27. Beavercreek remains unranked.

"She does it all," coach Jennifer Robinson said. "Tamara is the best high school shooter I've ever seen. She worked hard at her game all summer and it's really showed this season."

The Braves are 15-7 entering tonight's rematch with Sandalwood.

STANTON FINISHES REGULAR SEASON EARLY

Stanton (27-3) became the first area school to complete its regular season when it handed host Wolfson a 47-42 defeat Monday night.

Coach Carlisa Thomas has guided the Lady Blue Devils, the state's No. 2-ranked 3A team, to 14 consecutive wins -- including a 12-0 January. Two of their three losses were to the two top-rated teams in Class 4A -- Ribault and Bradenton Southeast. …
