THE Evening Standard Londoners' bi-annual Job Fair has provided the capital's employers with the perfect forum in which to meet the best of the capital's skills, talent and experience for 11 successful years. Since its inception in 1991 the fair has brought thousands of employers and jobseekers from in and around London. The first fair of 2002 will take place tomorrow and Wednesday at the New Connaught Rooms in Holborn, WC2.

As always there will be an exciting and diverse range of the country's best-known companies and organisations, as well as some new faces. This year's exhibitors hail from a wide cross-section of the recruitment market and both the public and charitable sectors are well represented, with employers from the health sector, Jobs in Charities, the Teacher Training Agency and the Crown Prosecution Service all looking for new recruits.

This year also sees the launch of the Courses and CV Clinic, with various colleges and training agencies - as well as recruitment experts - on hand to offer free CV, career and training advice. If you are not sure of the direction of your next career move but would like to retrain, representatives from a number of different colleges will be there to help you choose from courses and training programmes in a range of fields, including secretarial, business and IT.

Employers are looking for quality candidates to fill some exciting roles.

Pizza Hut is a regular exhibitor and is back to look for more talented people. With 42 new restaurants opening around the country this year, it has opportunities for both deputy managers and supervisors, particularly in London and the South-East.

Mairi Vodden, recruitment manager, says: "Pizza Hut is attending the fair for the third consecutive year as it presents us with an ideal opportunity to talk to jobseekers in a friendly and informal environment."

First Sport, a market leader in the Sports & Leisure retail sector, is looking for new managers for its stores throughout London, but is also looking for people to join its new store in Hackney. …
