MEET THE PROS

In addition to the activities surrounding The Players Championship this week, there will be two opportunities for fans to meet players on a more personal level.

Both events, free to the public, will be Tuesday. The first chance will be a clinic given by three-time PGA Tour winner Joe Durant at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Course on Penman Road, as part of a Demo Day by Cleveland Golf. Cleveland's Tech Van will be at Jacksonville Beach from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Durant will conduct the clinic from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

The Cleveland Tech Van also will be at the Sun Golf Jacksonville Beach store, near the intersection of South Beach Parkway and J. Turner Butler Boulevard, Wednesday from 12-6 p.m.

The other chance for fans Tuesday will be at the PGA Tour Stop, at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine. U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen of South Africa will appear for an autograph signing session there from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
