POLICE BRIEFS Woman Says Roommate Hit Her

Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by area police departments.

ATLANTIC BEACH

On March 14, a woman told police that she was punched in the face by her female roommate after an argument at their home in the 300 block of Sailfish Drive.

On March 15, police arrested a woman and charged her with petit theft after an employee at Publix, 985 Atlantic Blvd., saw the woman take several pieces of make-up and put them in her purse.

On March 15, a man told police that someone stole an amplifier and a speaker box from his car while it was parked in the 1400 block of Mayport Road.

On March 16, a woman reported that she was receiving harassing e-mails from an unknown person. The woman told police she believed it might be her husband, who has also been following her and harassing her over the phone.

On March 16, police arrested a man and charged him with trespassing after police asked him to leave a bar in the 200 block of Atlantic Boulevard after he became loud and started grabbing people at the bar.

On Monday, a man told police someone entered his home in the 100 block of Mayport Road and stole his television and a jar containing $20 in coins.

On Wednesday, a woman reported that someone entered her car while parked in the 300 block of Oceanwalk Drive and stole six credit cards, a driver's license, bank cards, a Winn-Dixie gift card, a BJ's card, her insurance card, Social Security card, car registration and possibly the keys to the car.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH

An employee of Happy Farms Produce at 1102 Third St. S. reported Mondaythat someone broke the glass front door and stole money from the cash register.

Vandals broke into the Electric Department substation at 4400 South Beach Parkway Monday and damaged the windshield of a 1993 Ford truck and a 1994 Dodge Ram and pulled a mailbox out of the ground.

A woman reported Monday that someone broke a window in her home in the 900 block of 14th Avenue South and went through her mail and the clothes in her bedroom. …
