DOUBLES DOMINANCE

The world's No. 1-ranked doubles team of Lisa Raymond, a former Florida star, and Rennae Stubbs is an overwhelming favorite to capture the doubles title. The duo has already won five tournaments this year and captured 25 of 26 matches. The team's only loss was to Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova in the Australian Open in January.

"We understand each other and believe in each other," Stubbs said. "Plus we're both athletic and get around the court pretty good. Add in that we're both good volleyers, which is so essential to doubles, and you get an idea why we've been so successful.

"We play against players that are ranked higher than us in singles, but Lisa and I know what the other one is going to do and we can react to that in advance. We are able to create shots into open areas or alleys and that's a big asset to playing doubles."
