Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by area police departments.


Police arrested a man May 4 and charged him with breach of peace and resisting without violence after he yelled obscenities and became violent while police investigated a loud party in the 1900 block of Beach Avenue.

On Thursday, a man fled after police tried making a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Mayport Road. Police said the man appeared to make a turn onto West 10th Street but the car stalled. The man fled west on West 11th Street once the car restarted.

Police said when the car got to Orchid Street it made a right turn and struck the curb, causing the passenger-side tires to flatten. The car continued on Orchid Street for half a block and then the man ran away. Police said they found a plastic bag with nine grams of crack cocaine inside the man's car.

A man reported that someone stole a radio/CD player from his car while parked at the Kangaroo Store, 2425 Mayport Road.

On Friday, a woman reported that a man had been peeping into her tanning bed at the Four Seasons Tanning Salon, 995 Atlantic Blvd. The woman told police she was nude inside the bed and when she got up saw a man looking over the top of the wall in the next room. An employee told police a man left the business abruptly before the woman reported the incident.

A man reported on May 7 that someone stole his son's screen name and password and was logging on to obtain sexual services in chat rooms.

On Saturday, a woman reported that two surf boards were stolen from her garage in the 1900 block of Beach Avenue.

A man reported on Saturday that someone stole a watch, a ring, a necklace and a pair of earrings from his hotel room at the Comfort Inn, 2401 Mayport Road.


Officers arrested an 18-year-old woman Sunday on charges of sale and possession of marijuana after witnessing an exchange of drugs in a car parked in the 100 block of First Street North.

Officers arrested a 46-year-old man on a charge of lewd and lascivious activity Saturday after he was seen masturbating outside Polly "B" Dance Academy at 340 23rd Ave. …
