First Coast Community's Community Columnists Program enables individuals from all over the First Coast, and from all walks of life, to share their thoughts, insights, stories and opinions online with our First Coast Community audience. Columnists can hone their writing skills, build an online readership and establish a body of work on our site.

Already, the Community Columnists Program boasts a diverse array of columnists with varied interests. You'll find columns from senior citizens and seniors in high school, music lovers and movie critics, pet lovers and outdoors enthusiasts, doctors and lawyers, Jacksonville natives and new First Coast residents, teachers and students, mothers and fathers, pastors and humorists, to name a few.

We're always looking for new columnists for our program. I'd especially like to add columnists from the following categories: elementary school, middle school, health and fitness, real estate, technology, arts and culture, the environment, science and history. I would also like to include pairs of columnists in a point-counterpoint format, as well as individuals wishing to share perspectives on disabilities, military life, foreign travel and comparing/contrasting the First Coast with other areas of our country.

To read the contributions from all of our community columnists, or to start your own column, visit www.firstcoastcommunity.com.
