It's a small hotel with a pretty courtyard off Boulevard St Germain. It's in great location and is a real retreat from the city's bustle.

It's not hip or trendy but I like its cosy ambience because it feels as if you're at home.

Each room is decorated differently and tastefully, for example with Braque-style fabric on the walls. It's not high-tech - you even have to ask for a TV to be brought to your room - but I like this quiet style. Nor is there a restaurant. But it's a nice pied-a-terre with good service in a great location."

It's owned by an art collector and is full of lovely artworks.
