RIVER MEETING

The St. Marys River Management Committee's monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Nassau County Building, 1943 Mickler St. in Callahan.

The public is invited.

GARDEN CLUB

The Callahan Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at its headquarters at 5321 Fourth Ave. Evelyn Edwards and Ruby Girgas will speak on designing holiday florals.

MARINES MEET

The Nassau Detachment of the Marine Corps League's monthly meeting will be at 7:05 p.m. at Kraft Ten Acres in Fernandina Beach.

DOG ADOPTIONS

The Stars of Amelia, a new pet rescue organization that focuses on abused and abandoned dogs in Nassau County, will have dogs for adoption today at Palmetto Walk and Furry Friends. For information, call Terri Tennille, Stars president, at 261-4384.

AARP LUNCHEON

East Nassau County Chapter 6408 of the AARP is sponsoring a luncheon for Council on Aging clients at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Council on Aging Building off Lime Street in Fernandina Beach.

AARP members are asked to bring a potluck dish.

The regular monthly meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and include election of new officers. Nominations will be taken from the floor. The installation of new officers will be in January.

Board members will meet at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 10 in the Council on Aging Board Room.

NEWCOMER LUNCHEON

The Newcomers Club's monthly luncheon will be Dec. 12. For reservations, call 225-3865 by Friday. For club information, call 261-1187 or 277-6775.

DECEMBER ARTIST

The Island Art Association Co-op Gallery's featured artist for December is watercolorist Barbara Fuller.

The featured associate artists are Barbara Martin, displaying sculpture and acrylic painting, and Margery Cook, displaying pastels.

A public reception will be during First Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Artists will be present and refreshments served.

The gallery is at 18 N. Second St., Fernandina Beach
