Motorist Charged in Aggressive Driving; Biker Pushed into Other Car Police Briefs

A 20-year-old man was arrested after ramming his vehicle into a motorcycle and causing both to crash into a 1992 Saturn while traveling eastbound on 103rd Street near Ricker Road. He was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.

The man was driving a 1990 Isuzu at 7:10 p.m. Sunday when he started pushing a Harley-Davidson driven by a 48-year-old male. Police said he pushed the motorcycle for 100 feet until it hit the Saturn, and then crashed his car into the vehicle as well.

The motorcyclist was not injured. A passenger in the Saturn was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, who had to be forcefully handcuffed, broke a rear window in the patrol car with his head, police said. He was placed in a total appendage restraint, but removed it three times, police said.

-- Two men dressed in black and wearing Halloween-type masks robbed McDonald's, 5451 Roosevelt Blvd., of an undetermined amount of money at gunpoint at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 30. The two men fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The following are crimes and other incidents reported recently on the Westside to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office:

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

700 block of Edison Avenue, someone cut the convertible top and smashed the passenger vent window on a 1988 Mazda RX7 between 4:45 p.m. Nov. 30 and 4:30 p.m. the next day.

6100 block of Hill View Court, someone lit a large firework and placed it inside a 1995 Mazda MX6 between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 30. Damage was estimated at $500. Police said the passenger window was cracked open an inch.

5600 block of Ortega Farms Boulevard, someone dented the sides of an aluminum shed and trash can, causing $1,520 in damage between 8 a.m. Nov. 26 and 2 p.m. Nov. 30.

7000 block of Swamp Flower Lane, someone spray-painted obscenities inside a vacant house between 3:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and 2:50 p.m. Nov. 30. Damage was estimated at more than $500.

BURGLARY:

Intouch Communications, 6011 103rd St., someone smashed the front door window and grabbed cash from a money box and a speaker display between 6 p. …
