Police Briefs; Woman Robbed at Gunpoint

A 22-year-old Southside woman was robbed at gunpoint Thursday after a man accosted her in the 2700 block of Art Museum Drive.

The woman was walking at 4 p.m. when a man wearing a red bandanna over his face ran up behind her, grabbed her arm and said, "Give me all of your money. I've got a gun," according to a police report. The man showed her his gun before reaching into her coat pocket and stealing cash, a driver's license and some mail. The man fled down Art Museum Drive.

Following are the crimes and other incidents reported recently on the Southside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office:

SEXUAL BATTERY

5800 block of Beach Boulevard -- A 30-year-old Southside man was arrested at 3:48 p.m. Dec. 10 on a charge of sexual battery after being accused of forcing a 20-year-old woman to have sex with him Nov. 28 in the back room of a business, police said.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
