The Clemson, Florida State and Georgia Tech basketball programs, each bent on climbing out of the ACC's second division, picked up some post-Christmas presents, each adding a player at the start of the January term.

The biggest name of the bunch is former Arizona point guard Will Bynum. Unhappy with his reduced role behind Wildcats freshman Chris Rodgers, Bynum transferred to Georgia Tech.

"We felt like we needed another ball-handler; another scorer in the backcourt," said Yellow Jackets' coach Paul Hewitt, who recruited Bynum out of high school in Chicago.

Hewitt could use him right now -- the Yellow Jackets have been turnover-prone with freshman Jarrett Jack at the point -- but Bynum won't be eligible until next December.

Florida State and Clemson finally welcomed 2002 signees Al Thornton and Lamar Rice, respectively; both of whom failed to initially qualify.
