MLK SERVICE

The Nassau County Community Leadership Conference invites the public to its annual Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative worship service at 6 p.m. tomorrow at New Zion Baptist Church, 10 S. 10th St. in Fernandina Beach. The Rev. C.J. Brown, pastor of Greater Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Callahan, will speak. Proceeds benefit the conference's scholarship fund.

MLK CELEBRATION

The community is invited to the 13th annual Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. service presented by The Callahan Concerned Citizens of Nassau County at New Bethel AME Church on Page Street.

The service begins at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Christopher Dixon will speak. Dinner at Ewing Park, 5286 Ewing Park Road, will follow the service.

CHORUS TO PERFORM

Greater Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Historic Lane in Callahan, will play host to the Georgia-Florida Male Chorus Union at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

The Callahan City-Wide Male Chorus, the Alma Male Chorus of Alma, Ga., the Voices of Wings of Jessup, Ga., the Bethel A.M.E Male Chorus of Hinesville, Ga., and the Glynn County Male Chorus of Brunswick, Ga., will perform.

EVANGELIST SPEAKS

Evangelist Glenn Kearney will speak at Hilliard First Assembly of God, U.S. 1 South, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 26.

The public is invited to hear how Kearney was released from a life prison sentence and how he overcame drug addiction.
