The Brotherhood of St. Andrew will prepare and serve the traditional Shrove Tuesday pancake supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Peter's Episcopal Church Parish Hall, Ninth Street and Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina Beach.

Tickets, $4 for adults and $2 for children 10 and younger, are available at the church office and at the door. The event is open to the public.

Also at St. Peter's for Ash Wednesday, the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Eucharist will be at 7:30 a.m., 12:10 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.


Faith Christian Academy in Fernandina Beach will have its third annual Father-Daughter Ball from 1 to 4 p.m. March 8 at the Amelia Island Plantation. The semiformal affair will include live entertainment, dancing and a raffle. Fathers and daughters of all ages are welcome. Tickets are $40 per father and daughter, and $10 for each additional daughter.

The ecumenical World Day of Prayer service will begin at noon Friday at First Baptist Church, 416 Alachua St., in Fernandina Beach.
