FA Investigates Bellamy's Outburst at Referee

NEWCASTLE'S Craig Bellamy is facing more trouble after being reported for a four-letter outburst in the 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough.

The Football Association today confirmed that referee Andy D'Urso has mentioned the Wales striker's furious protests in his report.

"We'll be considering its contents today before deciding whether further action needs to be taken," an FA spokesman said.

If Bellamy is charged and found guilty, Newcastle will hope he is dealt with leniently by the FA. He has already missed six Champions League games through suspension this season after head-butting Dynamo Kiev's Tiberiu Ghione and being sent-off for kicking out at Inter Milan's Marco Materazzi.

Bellamy, Alan Shearer and firstteam coach John Carver all confronted D'Urso in the centre circle at the end of Wednesday's match at The Riverside.

They argued there had been a foul on Jermaine Jenas in the run-up to Geremi's goal, which ended Newcastle's nine-match unbeaten run.
