What a wheelie good idea THE employment team at law firm Withers has produced a handy Parental Rights Wheel to help employers and employees deal with the raft of legislation that comes into force this week.

The wheel is designed to help plan for maternity, paternity and adoption leave under the new rules. It calculates most of the key dates for employees who are expecting babies between 6 April 2003 and 3 April 2004 and wish to take maternity or paternity leave.

The adoption wheel (on the reverse side) works in exactly the same way and applies where notification of the match for adoption is given between 6 April 2003 and 3 April 2004.

There are a number of websites you can visit for information, advice and support with regard to work-life balance, including; www.peoplemanagement.co.uk, www.dti.gov.uk/er, www.tiger.gov.uk. To order a free Parental Rights Wheel call Tina Jarman on 020 7597 6445 or email her on tina.jarman withersworldwide.com.
