"Diversity is something you live, not just talk about," according to Ashley Christofferson-Cunningham, co-owner and president of brass brick homes.

That statement holds true not only for her professional life, but her personal life as well. She and her husband, Wiley Cunningham, own six companies, including residential and commercial construction businesses and a design and merchandising firm.

Christofferson-Cunningham has a bachelor's degree in speech communications/theater and a master's in business administration from Oklahoma Christian University as well as a post-graduate degree in secondary education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She also is a certified sales and marketing professional.

Nathan Mellor, vice president of community engagement and chief of staff at Oklahoma Christian, praises Christofferson-Cunningham as a gifted student. "In the past decade, she is the only student I have ever had who never missed a single question in an entire semester. She is a hardworking and innovative business leader, but most importantly, she is a genuinely stellar human being."

Under Christofferson-Cunningham's leadership, brass brick homes has earned recognition as one of the fastest-growing builders in the country by Builder Magazine from 2004-2007, a "Hot 100 New Business" by Entrepreneur magazine, and a four-time honoree of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber's Metro 50 award for the 50 fastest-growing companies. Earlier this year, the company was named in Inc. 5000. In 2007, she was also named one of Oklahoma City Business' 40 Under 40.

She is a member of the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, where she is nationally recognized as a speaker and sales trainer. She also is active with the National Sales and Marketing Council, Local Sales and Marketing Council, and the National Association of Realtors. In addition, Christofferson-Cunningham serves on Oklahoma Christian University's Business Advisory Council and on The Academy of Leadership and Liberty National Advisory Council. She is an author of Marketing & Selling to Generation X as well as a former television co-host of Home Files. …
