Panel OKs Plans to Develop More Than 400 Homes

Officials with the Oklahoma City Planning Commission approved development plans Thursday for more than 400 new homes in the city, including a 236-lot single-family development to be located in northwest Oklahoma City.

A preliminary plat of the proposed 236-lot Hidden Creek addition northeast of NW 122nd Street and N. MacArthur Boulevard won the commission's blessing Thursday. Commissioners also approved plans for six other residential developments.

Other action by the commission included:

* Approved a final plat of Willow Bend Section 6, for land near the SE corner of NW 122nd Street and County Line Road. Winchester Development wants to build a 91-lot single-family residential addition on the 22.3-acre site.

* Approved a request to rezone 4820 NW 23rd Street to allow for a climate-controlled indoor storage facility to be built by Johnston Builders.

* Approved a request to rezone 4200 S. County Line Road to allow for single-family residential development on the 114-acre site by Winds West Investments.

* Deferred to Nov. 14 a final plat of Tuscany, a 15-lot single- family residential development southwest of SW 134th Street and Western Avenue in Oklahoma City. Ted Whitnah Construction is developing the property.

* Approved a preliminary plat of Hidden Creek, a 236-lot single- family residential development on 106.8 acres northeast of NW 122nd Street and N. MacArthur Boulevard. Johnston Builders is the developer.

* Deferred to Oct. 24 a preliminary plat of Willow Oak Estates, a 30-lot single-family residential development on 41.9 acres north of Britton Road and west of Midwest Boulevard.

* Approved a final plat of Vintage Farms Section 2, on land located northeast of SW 134th Street and S. Pennsylvania Avenue. Legacy Developers wants to build a 52-lot single-family residential addition on 15.6 acres.

* Approved a preliminary plat of Superior Industrial Park on 34.66 acres south of SE 59th Street and east of Interstate 35. Developer Gary Owens Development wants to build five commercial lots and 18 industrial lots on the site, which is north of Crossroads Mall.

* Deferred to Oct. 24 a final plat of Cascata Lakes Section 1, a 55-lot single-family residential development located on 24. …
