OKC Planning Commission to Consider Developments for Up to 265 New Homes

Four real estate developments that promise to deliver as many as 265 new home sites in metro are scheduled to go to the Oklahoma City Planning Commission this week for review, including a 118-lot addition to be called Bradford Place.

The planning commission will meet 1:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall to consider proposals for Bradford Place, Meadowlake Farm, Meadows II at Surrey Hills, and Oakmond Phase V. The housing additions are part of a list of plats, preliminary plats and zoning requests on the agenda for the public meeting.

In the largest housing development to be considered this week, developer Paul Methvin Homes has requested approval from the city for plans to build a 118-lot housing addition north of SE 89th Street and west of Sunnylane Road.

Methvin's addition, to be known as Bradford Place, would take in about 58.1 acres in an area surrounded by residential and industrial- zoned property.

The developer said it wants to build 20 single-family homes on one-acre lots at the north side of the housing development. On the south side of the property would be 98 smaller lots of no less than 6,000 square feet for additional single-family homes. The two distinct residential areas would be separated by a common area that extends the length of the development.

Included in the Bradford Place development would be one lot reserved for future commercial use.

In another residential development, the developers of Meadows II at Surrey Hills requested approval of a final plat for an addition located southwest of NW 103rd Street and Ashford Drive.

Developer Surrey LLC said it wants to build lots for 84 single- family homes on about 24.6 acres. The property is surrounded by other residential and agricultural land.

In a smaller development, the commission will consider a final plat for Oakmond Phase V, a residential addition located south of NW 150th Street and west of Santa Fe Avenue.

Oakmond Development Co. said it wants to create 32 lots for single-family homes on about 19. …
