New Strip Center Planned for Quail Area

Plans are under way to develop a new strip shopping center in the fast-growing Quail Springs retail corridor at the intersection of Memorial Road and Highland Parkway.

Located near the Quail Springs Marketplace development, which is home to such tenants as Lowe's, Ultimate Electronics and Old Navy, the shopping center will be marketed towards smaller retail users.

According to Louis and Michael Almaraz of NAI Harrison Levy, Men's Warehouse has already committed to being the first tenant in property. The men's clothing retailer will lease about 6,000 square feet and will mark the company's third location in Oklahoma City.

The size of the center is going to be market-driven, said Louis. We are planning on the center being between 20,000 to 30,000 square feet in size.

Furthermore, Louis noted that the spaces in the property can be easily configured to meet the various needs of potential retail tenants.

While no construction date has yet to be set, the Almarazes expect to have the center's first tenants moved into the property by late fall of this year. …
