National Guide Ranks State Law Firms, Attorneys

Oklahoma law firms and attorneys have been ranked by the Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers.

The guide ranks the top law firms and individual attorneys in the nation on a scale of one to six. The guide is published annually by the London-based publisher Chambers and Partners and includes state- by-state firm rankings in four categories - Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions, Employment, Real Estate and Litigation.

Crowe & Dunlevy received a one in all four categories and McAfee & Taft received a one in three categories.

In Corporate/Mergers and Acquisitions, Crowe & Dunlevy and McAfee & Taft both received a one ranking. Receiving a ranking of two in Oklahoma were Commercial Law Group; Conner & Winters; Hartzog Conger Cason and McKinney & Stringer.

Among the individual attorneys, Michael Steward of Crowe & Dunlevy received a one ranking in Corporate/Mergers and Acquisitions. Oklahoma attorneys receiving a ranking of two were Gary Derrick, Derrick & Briggs; Theodore Elam, McAfee & Taft; Lynnwood Moore, Conner & Winters; Shannon Self, Commercial Law Group; and Martin Stringer, McKinney & Stringer.

Six attorneys from Oklahoma received a one ranking for tax law - Len Cason, Hartzog Conger Cason; Steven Davis, Hartzog Conger Cason; Gary Fuller, McAfee & Taft; James Holloman Jr., Crowe & Dunlevy; Randall Mock, Mock, Schwabe, Waldo; and Reeder Ratliff, Crowe & Dunlevy.

Crowe & Dunlevy was the only Oklahoma firm receiving a one ranking in Employment. Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable and McAfee & Taft both received a two ranking. Conner & Winters; Doerner, Saunders, Daniel; and McKinney & Stringer received a three ranking in Employment.

Leonard Court of Crowe and Dunlevy and Pat Cremin of Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable, both received a one ranking in Employment. Gayle Barrett, Crowe & Dunlevy; Charles Plumb, Doerner, Saunders, Daniel; David Strecker, Strecker & Associates; and Peter Van Dyke, McAfee & Taft, all received a two ranking. Kathy Neal, of Eldridge Cooper Steichen & Leach; Ronald Petrikin, Conner & Winters; and Jim Priest, McKinney & Stringer, received a three ranking.

Crowe and Dunlevy and McAfee & Taft both received a one ranking in Litigation: General Commercial. Fellers, Snider, Blankenship and Gable & Gotwals both received a two ranking. Hartzog Conger Cason; Kirk & Chaney; McKinney & Stringer; and Ryan & Whaley received a three ranking. …
