Noble Foundation Features Community Speakers for Its Enrichment Series

The Noble Foundation's Profiles and Perspectives community enrichment series will feature sports, politics and humor during the 2004-05 season.

This season is full of quality speakers from varied backgrounds, said Mary Kate Heltzel, Noble Foundation granting program associate and chair of the Profiles and Perspectives Committee.

The series will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Charles B. Goddard Center in Ardmore with a program featuring Sherri Coale, University of Oklahoma women's basketball coach, and Mike Holder, men's golf coach at OU. They will participate in a panel discussion on building athletic programs and motivating young adults.

The Oct. 8 program will feature Burns Hargis and Mike Turpen, co- hosts of Flashpoint, a weekly Sunday morning talk show on KFOR NewsChannel 4. The program will be at at 7 p.m, the Goddard Center.

The Nov. 18 program will feature Rufus Fears and his presentation Winston Churchill and the Art of Leadership. Fears has been recognized five times as the University of Oklahoma Professor of the Year. …
