Greater OKC Chamber Members Elect Fred Hall Chairman

Fred Hall of the Fred Jones Cos. has been elected the 2005 chairman of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber.

David Bialis of Cox Communications will chair the Forward Oklahoma City II Management Steering Committee. Sam Combs of Oklahoma Natural Gas was elected treasurer. Immediate past chairman is Burns Hargis, Bank of Oklahoma.

Hall has appointed the following individuals to serve as vice chairs in 2005:

* Central city and bio sciences - Carl Edwards, Price Edwards & Co.

* Convention and Visitors Bureau - Rhonda Hooper, Jordan Associates.

* Economic development - Larry Nichols, Devon Energy.

* Education/workforce development - David Thompson, the Oklahoma Publishing Co.

* Government relations - Tom McDaniel, Oklahoma City University.

* Marketing and communications - David Rainbolt, BancFirst.

* Membership - Brenda Jones, Jones Public Relations Group.

Also serving on the board of directors and executive committee are Roy Williams, chamber president and CEO; and Dean Schirf, chamber vice president of government relations and corporate secretary.

Chamber membership elected the following individuals to serve one three-year term on the board of directors, beginning Jan. 1 and expiring Dec. 31, 2007: Michael Anderson, Presbyterian Health Foundation; Lance Benham, The Benham Cos.; J. Donald Capra, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation; Joseph J. Ferretti, OU Health Sciences Center; Steven L. Hunter, SSM Health Care of Oklahoma; Harrison Levy Jr., Grubb & Ellis-Levy Beffort; Tom Love, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores; Gerald J. Maier, OU Medical Center; Tim O'Toole, Oklahoma State Fair; Michael J. Packnett, Mercy Health Center; K. Randy Roper, IBC Bank; John Michael Williams, Williams, Box, Forshee & Bullard.
