AARP Featured Employers are companies that have demonstrated a sincere interest in recruiting and retaining mature workers and have gone through an application and evaluation process.

AARP will share its knowledge and research with Express so the staffing firm can learn to better assist area businesses in the recruitment and retention of mature workers.

Today's work force is more diverse than ever, and AARP and Express are dedicated to the recruitment and retention of mature workers, said Robert A. Funk, founder and CEO of Express. Mature workers bring stability, loyalty and wisdom to today's workplace and Express recognizes their desire to continue working in some capacity well into the future.

Mature workers are excellent mentors for younger, less experienced workers, Funk said.

Education makes the difference between just surviving and thriving in today's generational marketplace, Funk said.
