McAfee & Taft Law Firm Receives Honors at Central OK Assn. of Legal Assistants Luncheon

Two members of the McAfee & Taft law firm received top honors at the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants' 2005 Annual Attorney Recognition Luncheon.

Penni Jones, a certified paralegal and civil litigation specialist with the firm's litigation group, was honored as the 2005 Legal Assistant of the Year. She is credited for playing a key role in the Oklahoma Bar Association Legal Assistant Services Committee's lobbying efforts to grant paralegals membership to the Oklahoma Bar.

In addition to serving as the president of COALA, Jones is also a member of the National Federation of Paralegals Association and the National Association of Legal Assistants.

Joseph H. Bocock, a shareholder with McAfee & Taft, was recognized as the 2005 Attorney of the Year for his ongoing efforts in supporting the paralegal profession. He serves as the chairman of the Oklahoma Bar Association Legal Assistant Services Committee and is a frequent author and lecturer. His many accomplishments in the area of commercial litigation and arbitration have earned him national recognition in The Best Lawyers in America and the Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business. …
