Noted designer Nicole Miller brought her fall 2005 fashion collection to Ruth Meyers Inc. this week, doing a fashion showing to benefit Children's Medical Research.

The showing took place in a large white tent set up in Nichols Hills Plaza where guests were served wine and Cosmopolitans and hors d'oeuvres.

Big donors had their cocktails inside the Ruth Meyers store, rather than out in the sun. Each guest was given a paddle with which to bid on the fancy auction items.

Ruth Meyers (Bode) is a member of the Children's Medical Research board of directors. The organization raises funds to create chairs in pediatric medicine fields at the OU Medical Center. She has had two grandchildren who suffered injuries requiring medical attention at the Children's Hospital at the OU Medical Center.

Miller showed 31 items from her newest collections, concluding with a Viking bride crochet dress with its own crochet bolero, from her Signature Collection.

Among those at the showing were Nancy and Bob Ellis, Kathy Walker, Martha Mullally, bubbling with pleasure about her daughter, Megan's, upcoming daily talk show; Jeannine and Gene Rainbolt, Stacy Ford Gardner, Jim and Jill Williams, Mike Joseph, Lori Tyler, Karen Browne, Joan Maguire, Amy Amundsen, Kirk Hammons, David and Jenny Kallenberger, Julie Hall, A.G. and Beth Meyers, Brent Hensley, Karen Swyden Walker, Laurie and Charlie Givens and Jim and Christy Everest.
