Rose State College in Midwest City Hosts Web Application Workshop

The Rose State College Communication Center will be a host site for the 2005 World Organization of Webmasters' National Web Application Development Workshop on Oct. 27-28.

Web application development is the strategic processes of site development integrating business and technology procedures and operations. Conference topics include enterprise Web application strategy, Web application architecture and frameworks and Web site and portal design.

For a business or government entity to be effective online there must be an understanding of how the business is structured, who will be using the services and how technology can become an effective and reliable means of distributing the business operations, said Dara Hays, Rose State Business and Information Technology Division professor. The Web industry is not limited to the physical location, but it is limited by the knowledge and misconceptions of the Web professional. This conference is designed to assist government and business leaders with a greater understanding of the Web professional and dispel the misconceptions of the online business market. …
