Achievers under 40 Profile: Chris Cardoni, Senior Vice President/ Manager of Energy Lending, F&M Bank & Trust Co

The energy industry has its own language, mathematical concepts and applications, meaning it takes a skilled banker to provide the specialized services that these companies require, especially in a time of economic uncertainty.

Enter Tulsa's Chris Cardoni. As one of the rising stars in the commercial banking industry, Cardoni recently joined the team at F&M Bank, where he is charged with establishing an energy lending division that provides service to oil and gas companies in Oklahoma and surrounding states. Those duties include supervision of the bank's newly created line of business for energy banking.

"We intend to be a long-term provider of capital in the energy industry and expect our staff to grow over the next five years," he said.

Prior to joining F&M, Cardoni spent six years with MidFirst Bank, rising from assistant vice president to first vice president, and earning a number of Top Achiever and Outstanding Service awards along the way. He began his career at Bank of Oklahoma, where he spent two years as an analyst in energy lending, and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University.
