Tulsa-Based StoneHenge Partners Expands Again

StoneHenge Partners is taking significant steps to expand its business in information technology consulting, the company said on Friday.

The Tulsa-based IT consulting firm has appointed a new vice president, hired three developers and is recruiting to fill another six to eight positions in software development, business analysis, Web design, quality assurance and project management, said Mike Fletcher, president.

Last year at this time, StoneHenge said it was adding three people and expanded its services in four areas - technology solutions, strategic consulting, supplemental staffing and a new service, interactive marketing.

"Despite the expansion, 2009 was a lean year for information technology consulting companies in eastern Oklahoma," Fletcher said. "But we are seeing a strong upturn in activity so far in 2010."

Inquiries for potential engagements this year is triple the pace from last year, Fletcher said.

Today StoneHenge employs 25 consultants who are working on turnkey projects in its office or are engaged on projects at client sites, Fletcher said.

"StoneHenge is focused on technology, which we can achieve with a variety of clients in a variety of industries," he said. "These are three clients for which we have pending engagements."

The company, founded in 1999 and named for the famous site in England, is beginning Phase 3 of a multi-year project to develop a business-to-business e-commerce website. The company is in the design phase of a new website for a major Tulsa law firm, as well, Fletcher said.

"Clients tell us they really respond to our promise to deliver projects on time, on budget and on target," Fletcher said. "That has been the most common reason we have been approached for new work. …
