SandRidge to exchange notesSandRidge Energy Inc. on Monday announced an offer to exchange 7.5-percent senior notes due 2021 issued on March 15 for new 7.5-percent senior notes due 2021 that are registered under the Securities Act of 1933.The old notes were issued in a private placement exempt from the registration provisions.The exchange offer will expire Nov. 16.Oklahoma City- based SandRidge Energy has retained Wells Fargo Bank NA to act as exchange agent for the exchange offer.

Cornett, Price, Watkins selected for OU alumni awardThe JayMac Alumni Association of the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication has announced the recipients of the 2011 Distinguished Alumni award - Mick Cornett, mayor of Oklahoma City; Howard Price, owner and president of Multi-Net Marketing in Colorado Springs; and Kari Watkins, executive director of the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum.Jake Basden, director of publicity for Big Machine Label Group in Nashville, will be honored as the Young Professional of the Year. This award is bestowed upon alumni under the age of 40 who have made great achievements in their careers.The four will be honored at a ceremony Thursday at Gaylord Hall on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.JayMac and the Gaylord College will also recognize David Tarpenning with the JayMac Teaching Award.

Tourism conference set in TulsaThe 2011 Governor's Conference on Tourism is scheduled Sunday through Oct. 25 at the Renaissance Hotel & Conference Center in Tulsa.The conference theme is "Team Tourism - Powering Our Industry."The conference will include a trade show, educational programs and awards.
