SCHOOL LUNCH Today's elementary, K-6 and K-8 school lunch menu for the Evansville Vanderburgh School is ham-and-cheese sandwich, chips, mini carrots and fruit juice.

Library hosts discussion of psychology application

The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library will host a program on cross-cultural psychology and its applications to business and the workplace.

The program was set for 2 p.m. Wednesday and again at 2 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Browning Events Room at Central Library, 200 SE King Blvd.

The presenter is Jan Aylsworth, an organizational psychology consultant. She will talk about what organizational psychology is and how businesses can apply it to benefit employee communication, market-entry analysis, and human resources practices and policies. She will also talk about cross-cultural psychology, using the U.S. and Japan as an example.

Hunting class to meet at Sportsmen's Club

The L.A. Sportsmen's Club of Lynnville will host an Indiana Hunter Education Program. The two-day class will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 21-22. Attendance of both days is mandatory.

Indiana law requires that any person born after Dec. 31, 1986, must attend this course before they can purchase a hunting license.

The classes will be geared toward youth, but all ages are welcome. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be provided. Please bring writing utensils. Preregistration is required. Call 812-789-9538.

The directions to the L.A. Sportsmen's Club are as follows: From the intersection of Indiana 68 and Indiana 61 in Lynnville, turn north on Indiana 61. Follow the sign for the club at the Petersburg Road intersection, west to Doerner Road. The clubhouse is on the left, approximately a mile down the road.


Pink Floyd Experience to play at The Centre

Pyrotechnics, light shows and a flying pig will back and soar above the band when The Pink Floyd Experience, a six-member tribute act, performs the music of Pink Floyd in The Centre on March 14.

The concert features music from the classic rock band's 1975 "Wish You Were Here" album, as well as "Money," "Pigs," "Time" and other Pink Floyd hits. Bicentennial clings available for businesses

The Evansville Convention & Visitors Bureau is offering free 6- inch window clings displaying Evansville's bicentennial logo for doors and windows of all city businesses. The non-adhesive material is easy to install and holds onto the inside of a window.

The clings are available for pickup in the visitors center of the Pagoda or by calling the CVB office at 812-421-2200 during business hours. CVB officials have 1,000 clings to distribute before the official bicentennial date, March 27.
