Achievers under 40 to Be Honored by the Journal Record in Oklahoma City

Article excerpt

The Journal Record has announced its list of 2012 Achievers under 40 honorees, who include young leaders from across the state representing a wide variety of professions.

The ninth annual Journal Record "Achievers under 40: Rewarding the Climb" event is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. May 24 at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel, 1 Park Ave., in downtown Oklahoma City.

"The selection process for our Achievers under 40 program gets more difficult each year as the caliber and number of nominations from across the state increase," said Mary Melon, publisher. "The mission of The Journal Record's Achievers under 40 is to honor and recognize the accomplishments of Oklahoma's talented young leaders who have chosen to make Oklahoma their home. While the selection process was challenging and competitive, it is a great sign for the future of our state that we have such a large group of dedicated leaders committed to moving Oklahoma forward. This year's honorees - all under the age of 40 - are certainly proving their professional and leadership acumen, but are also proving their strong commitment to making Oklahoma a better place to live and work."

The 39 winners were chosen by a committee composed of area leaders and will be honored at the event and profiled in a special publication of The Journal Record.

Sponsors of the 2012 event are Eide Bailly, McAfee & Taft and Oklahoma City University's Meinders School of Business. To make reservations for the lunch, call Sunny Cearley at (405) 278-2830 or email her at sunny.cearley@journalrecord.com. Corporate tables are $1,750 each and include a table for 10, a half-page ad and recognition at the event and in the publication. Regular tables are $600, and single tickets are $60.
