SCHOOL LUNCH Today's elementary, K-6 and K-8 school lunch menu for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp. is mini burgers, potato smiles, mixed vegetables and applesauce.

The middle and junior high school menu is chicken patty sandwich or hot ham and cheese on bun, french fries, cauliflower with cheese sauce and applesauce.

Tuesday's elementary, K-6 and K-8 school lunch menu is French toast sticks with syrup and sausage or breakfast wrap with sausage, Tater Tots, apple juice and orange wedges.

The middle and junior high school menu is French toast sticks with syrup and sausage or breakfast sandwich, Tater Tots, apple juice and orange wedges.

Wendy's to donate percentage of sales

Visit any Wendy's location in Evansville from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for the "Give Back Wednesday" Fundraiser.

Wendy's will donate a percentage of the total sales collected to the Evansville Area Council PTA Clothing Bank.

PTA services 32 local schools. The Clothing Bank has given clothes for more than 1,200 kids a year, and the numbers are increasing.

EVANSVILLE

UE athletes complete 3,400 hours of service

Before the University of Evansville's softball game against Austin Peay on April 25, the UE Student Athlete Advisory Committee recognized several local residents for their service to the community of Evansville.

In a record-setting year for service, Aces student-athletes accumulate over 3,400 hours of service while helping 105 agencies in the community.

Khristian Hart, of Evansville, is a member of the University of Evansville women's basketball team.

Chris Weisheit, of Jasper, is a member of the University of Evansville men's swimming team.

Maria Lynn, of Evansville, is a member of the University of Evansville women's cross country team.

"We are extremely proud of our student-athletes," said Sarah Solinsky, UE Senior Associate Athletics Director and SWA. "They have volunteered at over 100 organizations and spent more than 3,400 hours during the academic year contributing to our community. The student-athletes find community service a rewarding aspect of their overall experience at UE. …
