The Fourth Fall RV Show of the Midwest Gateway Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association will be held Sept. 10-12 at South County Center, Lindbergh Boulevard and Lemay Ferry Road in south St. Louis County.

Some 200 RVs will be on display from all of the area's dealers. Hours for the show, which is free, will be 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

Applications are now available for reservations at public waterfowl hunting areas in Missouri. Demand is expected to be high because flooding probably will limit space at three of the areas, Ted Shanks, Fountain Grove and Bob Brown.

Spaces will be filled by random drawing. Application forms are available at the Powder Valley Nature Center or from: Waterfowl Area Hunts, Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 3337, Jefferson City, Mo. 65102-3337.

A registered trap shoot will be held Aug. 29 at the St. Louis Skeet and Trap Club in Pacific. Events will be 100 handicap, 100 16-yard and 50 pairs of doubles. Shooting begins at noon.

Jerry Williams of Carlyle, Ill., finished second and Bill Harkins of St. Charles third in the Red Man Illini Division qualifier bass tournament last Sunday on Carlyle Lake. Mike Deushane of East Peoria, Ill., won the tourney, which drew 118 anglers, with five bass that weighed 14 pounds 8 ounces.

James Clifford of Florissant finished third in the Midwest Bass tournament held Sunday on Mark Twain Lake with three fish that weighed 9.16 pounds. Winner was John Jacks of Moberly with 12.35 pounds.

An American Kennel Club pointing dog field trial judging seminar, sponsored by the Gateway German Short- haired Pointer Club, will be held Sept. 11 at the American Legion Hall, 2310 Highway 40-61, in Lake St. Louis.

Cost of the seminar, now required for all AKC trial judges, is $35 - $50 for couples. For information call David Duckworth at (618) 656-1323.

The annual "Guide For A Day" event of the Pomme De Terre Chapter of Muskies, Inc., will be Sept. 18 at Pomme De Terre State Park Marina. In this program local anglers serve as guides and instructors for participants who contribute $75 to the local chapter. …
