ST. LOUIS MEETINGS Inventors Gathering For Workshop Here

About 200 inventors are expected in St. Louis Friday and Saturday for a workshop at the Stouffer Concourse Hotel, 9801 Natural Bridge Road in Berkeley.

Speakers will include Paul MacCready, known for his work on the Impact electric car at General Motors Corp., and Dan Lauer of St. Louis, who created the Waterbabies Doll.

The workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The cost is $119. For more information, call the United Inventors Association at 721-3842.

***** MISSOURI SOFTWARE Jack Henry Buys Colorado Firm

Jack Henry & Associates Inc. of Monett, Mo., a data processing systems firm, has purchased all of the outstanding stock of BankVision Software Ltd., according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jack Henry paid BankVision shareholders in stock valued at $2 million, plus additional payments over three years based on BankVision's earnings, the filing said.

BankVision, of Durango, Colo., has developed a new international banking software package.

***** ILLINOIS GRAIN PROCESSING ADM To Move Unit

Archer-Daniel-Midland Co. says it plans to move its malting division offices from Minneapolis to the grain processer's headquarters in Decatur. The unit's malting operation will remain in Minneapolis.
