Lynn Beats Seattle, Faces Berry in Final

Dorte Nielsen's goal 11 minutes into the third overtime period helped lift defending champion Lynn (Fla.) University past Seattle University 2-1 Wednesday in pool play of the 10th NAIA Women's Soccer Championships at Lindenwood College.

Lynn (17-2-2) will play Berry (Ga.) College (17-4-1) in Friday's title match at 1 p.m.

In Wednesday's other game, Lindenwood fell 3-2 in overtime to Georgian Court (N.J.) College.

"It was a tough game to play," said Lindenwood coach Debbie Washburn, whose team was eliminated from title contention in a 3-2 loss to Berry Tuesday. "Considering the situation, I thought the game was fairly intense. I would've rather seen us win, but we played hard and I was proud of the effort.

"And I'd really like to thank our crowd. Both nights, they were very supportive."
