Howell North Gets Back on Winning Track

Article excerpt

When you're struggling, any victory is a good victory.

That certainly was the case for the Francis Howell North Knights as they snapped a losing skid at six games by beating Whitfield 3-2 in a Mid-States Club Hockey Association contest last Thursday at Queeny Park.

"To be real honest, we're a much better skating team (than Whitfield)," said Len Cadieux, coach of Francis Howell North (3-9). Howell North's next game is at 9:15 p.m. Friday at the North County Recreation Complex against archrival Francis Howell.

"This is the one we've all been looking forward to and maybe that was a factor in the Whitfield game," Cadieux said. "Howell got us (6-2) last time, but we're really looking forward to playing them again."

Howell North also plays Saturday and Monday. The Knights play John Burroughs at 7:30 p. …
