While their sullen coach berated the media for labeling his team, Final Four-bound University of Arizona basketball players took a gentler approach.

"I'm so fired up, it's pathetic," Arizona center Joseph Blair blared. "This was no fluke. We're not some weak, pansy, West team."

After Arizona's 92-72 victory over Missouri in the West Regional final, Wildcats guard Reggie Geary wagged a finger but laughed with the Arizona media that had committed the sin of documenting the Wildcats' past troubles in the NCAA Tournament.

"It's basically Arizona vs. the world, and we look at it like that," Geary said, laughing. "To all those people who disrespected us early . . . how you doing!? See you in Charlotte.

"None of you all believed."

On Saturday, there was little to doubt about Arizona, which returns to the Final Four for the first time since 1988 after winning every tournament game by 12 or more points. Arizona took a 14-point halftime lead and never was threatened in the second half. …
