The following list reports on major road-construction projects that could cause traffic congestion. Information for the list was provided by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department, the Illinois Transportation Department and construction contractors. MISSOURI West County:

Highway 40 (I-64): Between Spoede Road and McCausland Avenue, lanes may be closed for nighttime work between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Highway 40 and I-270 interchange: Minor cleanup work will occur at the interchange .

Clayton Road: Delays possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday, from Henry Road to Baxter Road. South County:

I-270: At I-55, expect delays because of temporary ramp revisions.

From I-44 to Gravois and from Tesson Ferry Road to I-55, lanes may be closed in off-peak hours.

From Gravois to Tesson Ferry Road, all traffic will be stopped five minutes for blasting periodically, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists should watch for stopped traffic.

At Dougherty Ferry, all traffic on I-270 will be stopped for five minutes periodically for blasting from noon to 2 p.m. today through Friday. Motorists should watch for stopped traffic.

I-55: At the Meramec River, lanes may be closed in off-peak hours.

Near Lindbergh Boulevard and I-270, lanes may be closed in off-peak hours. Motorists should be alert for revisions and drive with caution. Jefferson County:

I-55: One lane will be closed northbound and southbound at Route Z at Pevely. One lane will be closed southbound at the bridge over the Burlington Northern Railroad one mile north of Route A at Festus. St. Charles County:

I-70: Between Mid-Rivers Mall and Cave Springs, eastbound and westbound lanes are on a new bypass.

Route 67: At the Mississippi River in St. Charles County, the new bridge into Alton is open. Some construction work on the approach and side roads remains. …
