Antique-Lovers' Annual Delight Next Weekend

A DAZZLING array of antiques from about 40 dealers in 21 states will be on display at the St. Louis Antiques Show, May 27 - 29. The ninth annual event benefits the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.

Exhibitors will display fine furniture, Chinese and English porcelain, paintings and sculpture, jewelry, prints and more at this three-day show and sale.

This year's special exhibition is "American Folk Art: The Charm and Fascination of Bold and Original Objects," which features an outstanding array of folk-art objects from St. Louis collections. Barber poles, primitive portraits, painted furniture, sundials, weather vanes, decoys, trade signs and such will be on display during the event.

The event begins with a preview party Thursday evening, May 26.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 28; noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 29. Friday through Sunday general admission is $8 each day; three-day admission is $20.

Preview party: 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Admission is $65; $35 for anyone 35 and under. Includes a cocktail buffet and an opportunity to browse or buy before the show opens to the general public. The preview party ticket also includes continuous admission to the show all weekend.
