Lehman, Floyd Threatening Tournament Blowouts
Despite battling a touch of flu, Tom Lehman engineered a 2-shot swing on the final hole Saturday and opened a 4-shot lead over John Cook in the third round of Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio.
Lehman, who let a 54-hole lead escape him last month in the Masters, has no intention of letting this one get away.
"With a 4-shot lead, basically it's your tournament to do what you want with," said Lehman, who is looking for his first PGA Tour victory. "I'm in the driver's seat."
He had a third consecutive 5-under-par 67 for a 201 total that only Cook, who shot 69, is in touch with.
Bob Tway holed a 155-yard 9-iron for an ace on 12. Tway also aced the eighth with a 187-yard 7-iron in Thursday's first round. It is believed to be the first time in Tour history a player had two aces in a tournament.
