Calm and relaxed, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma acted as if playing for the College World Series title was a frequent occurrence. It isn't.

"I don't look at it as any pressure and I don't think our guys are looking at it as any pressure," said Georgia Tech coach Danny Hall, whose team faces Oklahoma in the title game at noon today (KMOV, Channel 4).

"We're looking at it as another game, which just happens to be for the national championship.

"If we play better than them, we'll win. If not, we'll get beat."

Georgia Tech, the second-seeded team, is in the World Series for the first time. Only Minnesota, in 1956, won the title in its first trip to the finals.

Oklahoma, the fourth seed, won over Tennessee in 1951. But these players weren't born then. Some of their parents may not have been, either.

"Just to get to the final game of the regional, just to give us a chance to come here, that was where we wanted to be," Georgia Tech catcher Jason Varitek said. …
